Scanning Setup

Debian Packages: xsane sane-utils

Plug in the scanner (perhaps to the USB port). Then run xsane which will try to find it. If there are problems finding the scanner, then make sure the scanner kernel module is loaded:

  # insmod scanner

If you still have problems, try disconnecting the USB scanner and plug it back in.
