Juan Lang pointed out a Microsoft article titled About Mailslots which describes Mailslots from a Windows programming perspective:

I think it's interesting that "...Windows does not support [Mailslot] messages that are 425 or 426 bytes." Did someone forget to test their boundary conditions? --crh
